I wanna be a Cowboy!

Are you like me? The rush to wake up, get dress, eat and and get our day started often times leads to chaotic interactions and a chaotic mindset. To try and reset the mood, mindset, and mentality I look to music. But, in the morning, on the way to drop my kids off to school, it’s a struggle to find appropriate entertainment on the radio. I find myself waffling between adult focused prank calls, over opinionated political/ news commentary, annoyingly repetitive commercials and music with borderline explicit content. Not saying everything we listen to is pure, but I try to limit the overly explicit words or messages that may be parroted.

The Morning Radio Show Content Too Mature

As my oldest child approaches high school, I made an intentional decision to play more popular music in the car (instead of my podcasts) to ensure that he has minimal awareness of pop culture and news. I think it’s important for him to be aware of what’s trending with his generation. However, the content is too mature for my younger children. So I’ve decided to develop my own commuter playlists to listen to on the way to and from school. Thus the #Mood Music Mondays Playlists for Kids series was born.

Curated Cool Playlists To Help Children Develop More Positive Mindset

My intention with the playlists is to use the music and messages: to help develop a focused mindset, redirect focus or energy in more positive direction, promote or facilitate playful creative energy, help develop ideas related to school topic, prepare for athletic or academic challenges for the day, and to expose my children to a wider variety of music genres.

Mood Music Playlists for Kids can be used when commuting, at playdates, during creative time, birthday parties and more!

These playlists have been developed to entertain, encourage, and inspire my kids during our morning commutes, but they will also be used during playdates and free-time to perpetuate music exploration.
